My First Christmas card!

Well, I'm happy to say I got a little of my mojo back!
The challenge at the Circle blog is: Flower Fusion! We all have them in one form or another...flowers! Most of the time we buy them in a package, use a few, tuck them away and forget! This week's challenge we want you to shop your stash and incorporate purchased flowers into your project, whether its a card, layout or home decor. And use at least 2 cricut cuts."

My project for the hop is a Christmas Tree Mini Album! I really had a hard time deciding what kind of project to do and I wanted to do a Winter card and a Christmas project, and then the Cricut Circle posted their challenge and that made up my mind for me! I can post that there and here! One of my favorite projects is a mini album and my favorite subject is Christmas!! If you are a follower you might remember that I made a stocking mini last year at this time! but it was a lot harder because we couldn't use Santa or Christmas!!! Try doing ANYTHING at Christmas without using one of those words! AND I had to design it first!  Cricut didn't have a stocking shape to use for that until AFTER I did that book. Now they have one and would have saved so much time! But it was fun and I learned a lot! This time I used a white mini book from Michaels that I've had since last Christmas!  I did this one in less than 3 days!! (Last years took me close to a week!) I would have never gotten it completed that fast without the new Imagine "Santa's Village". Most of the cuts are from that cart! My favorite tool for this book (besides the Imagine!!) was the Sakura glitter pen! I glittered up Santas beard and the HO HO HO on the front, as well as the little soldier! I used it everywhere I wanted glitter except the buttons on the gingerbread man and Rudolphs nose. That was just Glossy Accents topped with glitter. This book was a lot of fun! 
I did make a charm that has the Santa bust on 1 side and a gingerbread man on the other, using Tim Holtz fragments and Glossy Accents! In the first pic at the top left of the tree you can see the gingerbread man side. On the last pic you can see the Santa side.

Cricut Circle MB Christmas In July Swarm!

A couple of ladies on the Cricut Circle Message Board are hosting on online swarm in conjunction with the CHA show last Saturday. Except ours is all weekend. And its a good thing they give us until Wednesday to post! I've got bronchitis and trying to finish up the Outgoing Pres' scrapbook! So I tried to incorporate the swarm into the book! I was successful so far on one challenge!
This is challenge no. 1

The card base snowflake silver paper is from My Minds Eye Christmas stack, the Snowmen are from Snow Angel and the background tree printed on the blue paper background is a scene from the Enjoy the Seasons cart. I used Snow-Tex from HL for the snow and covered that as well as the whole card in Sparkle Glaze. I didn't like the effect on the snow, not enough glitter for me! so I added Ultra fine Crystal snow in white from Stampendous! The whole card is really glittery snowy looking in person! I couldn't capture the glittery look on camera.

I'm not sure which challenge # to enter this into! Challenge #2 says "card, LO, 3d element that is Christmas or Winter theme". Not sure if that card and LO should have a 3d effect or it can just be a LO Christmas related? But challenge #4 says use Ribbon, fiber or twine. I used gold fiber for the string on the ornaments!

This is the one inspired by the MB! We head up the Angel Tree for Azle kids. We ensure about 500 kids in Azle get a Christmas! Its really very rewarding and its so great to see the smiles on the kids faces when they pick up the bags and/or bicycles. This page is actually the high school and church volunteers that come in and help us wrap! Yes, each gift is individually wrapped! We really need help! Its an 18 hour a day job for about 3 weeks! But worth every minute when we're finished.
The paper is from DCWV Ultimate Christmas stack. Santa's Workshop title is from Winter Frolic. The little elves are from Jolly Holidays. The ornaments are from Christmas. The bike is from Boys will be Boys. The cute little hats border I created on my Gypsy and they are from Winter Frolic.

Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge entry

I created the bracelet, box and card for this months Cricut Circle challenge. The December Monthly challenge is Holiday Gifts. Here are the rules:

• Use at least 2 Cricut Cuts
• Use a tag made with a cartridge (there are so many great tags on so many cartridges!)
• Use the color red somewhere.
• Use ribbon.
• Use a phrase from one of the cartridges.

I used Snow Angel, an Imagine cart, to make charms with Shrinky Dinks for the bracelet for a friends granddaughter. After she saw the one I made for Faith she wanted one for her granddaughter too! but this time I cut them out by hand! The tag is from Snow Angels at 2" and Merry Christmas is on the tag. The red box I created using Snow Angel and Wrap it Up pillowbox that I used the "hide contour" to hide the flower cutout. It was only cut at 4". The bracelet is so small it was the perfect size! The bracelet has 4 of the Imagine cuts on it.

I have 2 projects for you today! My granddaughter and I made a bracelet with the Imagine and Snow Angel cart and Shrinky dinks!! We had so much fun! And I made a Gingerbread man shaped Christmas card with my Gypsy!
First, here is my holiday wish card!! I love gingerbread men!! and Peachy Keen Stamps!!! (They just take everything to the next level IMHO!) Can you tell? I just loved the gingerbread man I used on my Christmas mini in the "Christmas with a twist" hop and thought I would make a shape card with it! That was the easy part!! Glittering and flocking the banner and hat and hearts was the tedious part!! So I only made 8 of these! I'm now making an angel card, my very most favorite thing! Angels... I used several carts to make these, PPDU, GBS, Jolly Holidays, 3 birds, and Everyday Paper Dolls for the one on the right. I made a different banner on the left one that uses the scalloped triangle from Calligraphy. I used my Gypsy and cut it all out with the Imagine. I made the banner a little smaller if I make anymore. But that isn't likely at this point. I'm busy with Azle Lions Club Angel Tree now and may not get anymore cards completed this year at all! I'll have to remember that next year!! Need to start much sooner! Or make a much easier card!! :-) If anyone wants the gypsy or cut file, leave a comment and I'll post it next week. I'm beat today after working on the Angel tree all day and making a huge pan of lasagna for our wrappers as well, but can post it later.

 Here's the bracelet!  These are all images on the Snow angel cart, that I printed and cut with the Imagine, then had to replace the blades! It ruined 2 blades! The deep cut and regular cut. You can't see the sleigh one very well, but its really cute with a little bundled up angel with a squirrel in her hand. The green one has a deer jumping over a basket of flowers! they are really cute in person! Faith loves it!
