I can't believe my luck with the circle challenges! another one that correlated with a requested project! The Lions Club asked me to make a sign for the Pancake Supper to show our support for our sponsors. The Monthly challenge on the Cricut Circle Blog:

March is National Craft Month. Whenever I think about my hobbies, I am so grateful for the opportunity to express myself creatively. It’s a great way to decompress from daily life and feel productive while I create art that means something to me, my family, or the people around me. This month, we want you to display your passion for your craft by creating a piece of wall art to display in your home, office, or wherever! The topic can be whatever you wish . . . just use your craftiness to make something you can display and share with others.

This poster was already lightly printed with a grid! I didn't know they had them! That was a huge timesaver! I wanted to add some silverware in between the sponsors but my Imagine started having a "spell" again and cutting was way off! I tried calibrating but after 6 times and at midnight! I gave up! It was going to have to be good enough! they loved it anyway. I used Kate's Kitchen for the pancakes! and all other pictures! That cart is awesome! But of course its still not working in CCR so had to cut and print some practice ones and I just used those for the scrapbook page! The letters were cut with Lyrical Letters. It was  a lot of fun making this! And went pretty fast considering all the CCR and calibraion issues!

Creative Resolutions Challenge!

Happy New year! This is my first post in the new year so I hadn't had a chance to wish all my blog friends a happy new year! The Circle challenge for this week is: Creative Resolutions for 2012! Whenever the New Year rolls around, we tend to do a little self-evaluation and decide what we want to do differently in the year to come. For the challenge this week, we want you to think about your CREATIVE resolutions and record them in some way. Do you want to stretch your creativity in new ways? Maybe you want to try a new hobby or learn something new. Maybe you want to simplify. Whatever it is, get those goals down on paper! Jennifer Yates has a sample of her project below.
