Campin Mini for my DGS!

My DGS went on a camping trip to Colorado (brrrr...too cold today! and they had to wear jackets in July! We barely wear jackets here in December in Texas!) last summer and I've been wanting to make a mini for him. I used the Cricut Circle Magazine Challenge as my reason to do it NOW! I've got a birthday party this weekend for DGD and luckily I have some Dora decorations that I made last year thats going to help me a little this year. I posted those at this time last year! The Magazine Challenge is to use Cricut Craft Room. I don't stand much of a chance of winning, but it was fun making it just the same! I hope he likes it as much as I enjoyed making it!
Deadline is tomorrow! Finally finished yesterday. I had finished earlier but decided to add a back page due to the diecuts I had added on the previous last page! Thats why the challenges are good for me! I'd never be finished! LOL!

I used a whole pile of cartridges! Cricut Imagine and Legacy carts! The book is 11x7! I wanted him to have room for his 4x6 photos, so almost all of the frames on all of the pages are framed for a 4x6 pic. After I was about 1/2 way into the book I had watched a video about layering the images to print and cut on 1 page and not having to deal with the little bitty eyes. I don't like working with the little bitty eyes, but I'm not crazy about the image all printed in 1 layer either, so I did texturize the animals that I did print in 1 layer! That was easier than dealing with eyeballs! But I like the layers otherwise!
I used:
Imagine Better Together, Imagine Enjoy the Seasons, Campin Critters, Pooh and Friends, Imagine The Good Old Days, Cindy Lou, Create a Critter, Imagine Country Carnival, Imagine Nursery Tails, and the Cinch to bind the book. I usually add ribbon to the binding but since its for my DGS he would not like ribbon! I'm going to think about that and what to use in its place before I give it to him this weekend at DGD birthday party!
I used 3d paint on the marshmallow! Too cute! and stickles on the fire!

Cricut Circle July Magazine Contest - Pop Up Neighborhood

I wasn't going to enter because I have so much going on right now, but I just couldn't help myself! I had a day to play and decided to go for it, since I'd been rolling some things around in my head for a few days. I chose to make a card but I wish I'd made it a layout about 1/2 way through! I would have liked to make a bigger baby bassinet that I put in the window and the silhouette of mother of child, which is an SVG.  They were very tough to get that small!

Pop-Up Neighborhood - the house was cut 3.7" colors from Imagine Basic colors and the roof, porch and mailbox (cut at 1 1/2") using Snapshot-Texture, the visitor is the "housewife" in the handbook. I didn't think she needed the apron! The dress was cut using  Audrey Pattern Cart at 3". The fence was cut using the gypsy and the E2 so I could size it and cut at 1.6 x .84 to line up with the front of the house.
MS Seasonal for the grass cut at 1/2" with paper from my stash
Birthday Bash -  balloons, cut at 3" but the strings didn't make the cut, so I used sew'n sew thread for them and attached them to the bouquet on the housewife, colors from Nursery Tails Imagine Cart
Nursery Rhymes - the bassinet cut at 1/2"!! The Imagine couldn't cut it very well at that size due to the rocker on the botton so I just printed it and then hand cut it since all I needed was the top portion.
Simply Charmed for the "Welcome Baby" cut at 1.2" with paper from my stash

Martha Stewart Ink around edges. The label is no longer on it so I'm not sure what the name of the colors are, but there are 6 colors in a cat's eye shaped stack. I've had them forever and they still work, I can't believe they haven't dried up because the caps aren't tight.

The Title was cut at 2.5" , the bib and its a boy at 1 1/2 ", the onesie at 1 1/2 " I think and the sun cut at 3 ".

Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge #21: Animal Magnetism submission!

Hello my friends! I have so wanted to scrapbook this page for a long time. Jana did a layout on the circle blog that inspired me to do this page and be able to use it as a submission at the same time!!

This week we have been paying tribute to the critters in our lives and now we want you to do the same!  For this challenge your project must include something  related to an animal. You can create your project for or about an animal, include an animal cut, use animal print, etc. Project must also contain atleast 2 Cricut images to qualify.

Faith loves Angel, my Schnauzer, to death. And she was so cute in these pics and they make a perfect scrapbook page! I love these colors also! And the title from Winter Frolic just speaks volumes on this page!

Diaper bag card for my great niece!

I made this diaper card with the Imagine Nursery Tails! And of course my gypsy. It all started with a card made by Sarah at "Live Love and Scrap". I love the Nursery Tails cart and it got me thinking about the pattern and baby items on that cart that I could scraplift with!

The diaper bag card itself is from Doodlecharms that I welded 2 of the blackouts together, at 5.3" each side. To get the pattern for the bib to match the bag, because I just had to have that pattern, with the cute little lamb to bling up the front!, I had to print that part of the bib at true size of 10.4". Makes the bib real size about 6". I then cut the bag front at 5.2" out of that section with doodlecharms.  I cut the pink lamb out separately for the front to pop it a 1.7". That little lamb can be printed all by itself from a different object from the cart, the babyshower invite. The little white lamb is also on a page by itself, cut at 2". The bottle and bib were cut at 2 1/2. I also, as you can see, cut an extra pocket for the inside for the gift certificate. The slot was a perfect fit for the gc at 5.2". What kind of diaper bag would it be without a pocket!!? I covered the lamb with "snow tex"! (bought this jar at Hobby Lobby with my 40% off coupon) I thought it looked pretty good! I glittered the pink lambs with Michael's $ bin glitter glue! Welcome baby girl phrase is from MS All Occasions, cut at 1 1/2".

Cricut Circle October Monthly Challenge Layout

Happy Monday! Cricut Circle is having a monthly challenge featuring Creativity and I just had to scrap this for it! This screams creativity all over it to me! Love that girl! She wanted her picture with the drawing that Darrell made because someone in the room told her it looked just like her!  She's Uncle Darrell's biggest fan!

For this layout you had to have a shadow, thats the girl with sketch board! Had to have 2 cuts. I have several, the butterflies and scraps under the picture were done with Imagine More and Nursery Tails. The girl sketch artist is from  ACY. Work of heart is from Lacy Labels. My background paper is supposed to be a pattern paper, and it doesn't look like it but the green mats and the flourishes were on the sheet of paper. I added the heart background for the "work of heart" with Tattered Angels and used Perfect Pearls gold to highlight! Love PP!! and added a bit of PP to some of the flourishes to pull them together. Can't see all the glitter and gold this thing has! Couldn't get a good light that wouldn't have taken out the "work of heart"Supposed to also have glitter, pearls, gems or buttons or a combination of any of those. I used the pearl and the I-ROCK and LOTS of glitter and I consider Perfect Pearls the combo of the two!
