Cricut Circle blog May Magazine Challenge!

One of this months magazine challenge submission is inspired by Shanatie's gazebo card :

MAKE IT YOUR WAY CONTEST!

Use this month’s magazine as a stepping off point for you to create something your way. Use one of our Designers projects to help you create something similar and yet has your own style. You might see a flower, paper, design element or maybe just the concept to help you design something of your own. CONTEST RULES: Use at least 3 Cricut Cuts and an idea from the magazine in your project. Contest will open on May20th. Please upload a picture of your project  to the blog under the Magazine Challenge tab. Please, one entry per person. Entry deadline is Friday, June 10th, 2011. Please make sure you have a working link to view your project and if possible list what you used for inspiration. Don’t forget… the winner of each contest will receive an E2 Machine!! Good Luck!!

My recipe:
Gypsy
Expression2
Cricut Imagine
Cricut Imagine Cartridge Lori's Garden
Cricut Cartridge Freshly Picked
Pearls
Pearlessence Paper from Walmart, white
Recollections Precious Metals paperpak
Cuttlebug, Damask folder
The card base was welded on my gypsy, using Freshly picked gazebo, and cut at width of 4.5" and length of 10.2", making the card 4.5 x 5.1 completed. The flowers were cut from Freshly picked also, the banner and butterfly were cut from Lori's Garden at 2".
Bride and Groom diecut is from the Wedding Cartridge, cut at 3.5" tall. I used a black base for the shadow and the metallic paper for the groom and the white pearlessence paper from Walmart for the bride and cuttlebugged the skirt of her dress. I love the cuttlebug! especially for bridal gowns!
The bird is the 3 dimensional bird from Lori's garden cut at 1".  It looks so pretty sitting on top of that gazebo in person!
The big pearl on the front and the little bitty pearls on the flowers and the bride are actually leftovers from a package of alphabet pearls that I had bought to use on my son's "love" mini that I made for the wedding last year. I just cut off/separate the parts of the letter I want!
There are 2 challenges for a chance to win the Expression this week, but you need 3 Imaginisce products this month. I only have 1! And I'm not going to have time to shop, go to my grandsons for a couple of days, and get that completed by Thursday night!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great week!
